You can register a domain name during the signup process. We will automatically check to see if the domain name you are looking for is available for registration.
If you have a domain name that is already registered, you can either transfer control and billing for your domain to Uggle Internet, or update the DNS settings for your domain (NS1.UGGLE.NET & NS2.UGGLE.NET).
Updating the DNS settings for your domain name can be done via your registrar. For DNS updates, you will continue to be billed via your current registrar.
Yes. Uggle Internet offers you the option of selecting a subdomain of aspnethost.co.uk. An example of the web address you would have is http://www.mywebsite.aspnethost.co.uk .
Email addresses would be emailaddress@mywebsite.uggle.co.uk and ftp address would be ftp.mywebsite.uggle.co.uk. There is no fee for this.
In order to upload files to your new site, you an use any FTP client software. We also have a file management system that allows you to upload files directly from your dotnetpanel control panel. This also allows you to upload zip files, and unzip them directly on the server.
All email addresses are fully POP3 and IMAP4, giving you the choice of how you use them. Accessing your email can be through your normal email program such as outlook express, windows mail etc. You will also have your own professional webmail interface (http://webmail.uggle.com) to allow you to access your contacts, calendars, send and compose emails and manage your spam settings and filtering.
If you decide to pay for your hosting account via debit or credit card, we will automatically take payment when your next invoice is due in accordance with the payment agreement, taking the worry out of forgetting to renew your hosting. We do not offer a traditional Direct Debit agreement.

ASP.Net v3.5 is integrated into asp.net v2. All of our servers are running Windows 2008 x64 bit edition with support for asp.net v1 or v2. AJAX Extensions are also installed.
With the introduction of IIS7, integrated application pools speed up sites built for asp.net. All hosting accounts with application isolation can be set to either .net v1, .net v2 (classic) OR .net (integrated).
Uggle Internet do not resell services from third parties. We manage our own servers and products.
All hosting spaces can be backed up by you via the dotnetpanel control panel, however if it all goes wrong, DON'T PANIC, we keep a daily backup of all websites and MySQL databases with 30 revisions of any file so if the worst comes to the worst, send us an email and we can restore your site to a previous date.
If you go over your diskspace or bandwidth allocation, we will contact you and try to work out how much you are going to need and adjust your pricing accordingly. Pricing will vary depending on requirements.
All of our Windows 2008 servers have Microsoft URL Rewrite Module installed. Configuration can be via the web.config file. If you need assistance, let us know your rules, and we will set this up for you. .HTACCESS files are not used on Windows servers.
As of April 2009, Uggle Internet has discontinued offering reseller hosting accounts, allowing us to concentrate more of our support time for hosting customers.
Sites developed using Microsoft Visual Studio, will work with on our servers. You may need to update your server connection strings within the web.config file.
If you have a MSSQL 2008 as part of your hosting package, you can make a backup of your database on your local pc, and import using the MyLittleBackup web interface at http://msbackup.uggle.com .
For MySQL databases, you can connect remotely or use our phpmyadmin interface which can be accessed directly from your control panel. MSSQL 2008 databases can be managed via MyLittleAdmin web interface which can be accessed directly via your control panel.
Currently all of our Windows 2008 x64 bit servers are located in the Globalswitch 2 datacentre, which is situated in London Docklands.
